The present survey was conducted during Kharif 2011 and Kharif 2012 in Varanasi district of Uttar Pradesh, India. Twenty six insect-pests and natural enemies of crop plants, belonging to 9 different orders (including Acarina group) were recorded in the rice (Oryza sativa L.) agroecosystem. The maximum percentage of insect-pests and natural enemies were recorded in the order Coleoptera (23.10%), followed by Lepidoptera (15.40%), Homoptera, Isoptera and Thysanoptera. Insect pests viz., yellow stem borer, green leaf hopper and gundhi bug were highest in proportion, whereas rest others were found to be medium or low in proportion. Among natural enemies and predators, rove beetles, tiger beetles, carabid beetles, damsel flies and dragon flies were recorded from the rice agro-ecosystem.FkhKeywords

Education has benefited from global orientation Globalization has enabled more of human orientation and a less mechanical view of mankind. It has resulted in more liberalization and freedom of adoption. A shift from the study of features of limited national setting towards exchange of an world ideas and systems have enriched nation with scientific and technological interchange of knowledge, information and communication strategies among world nations has favored interdisciplinary and cross cultural advancements. Global education has put mega issues of various nature viz. Social, Political, Economic, National and International to world stage. Further, it has enabled growth of various educational disciplinary studies related to international, Banking, Financial, Management, comparative, Political, National and International there by enriching education Agreements like GATT (General Agreement on Trade and Tariffs) have clearly differentiated education in four modes for the purpose of trade. But, it is important for nationals to reap global benefits by not merely copying global phenomenon but a way of implementation that would best serve their needs in their national settings. Though much has been done, still, a more coordinated, ever growing and better approach involving temporal dimension need to be realized. Only then global perspective of using education as a vehicle of advancement and change could find practical utility of human planet.
Economic Globalization is historical process, the result of human innovation and technological progress. It refers to the increasing integration of economics around the world particularly through trade and financial flows. The term sometimes also refers to the movement of people (Labour) and knowledge (technology) across international borders. There are also broader cultural, Political and environmental dimensions of globalization that are not covered here.

Power Quality has become an important issue for electric utilities and the customers. Electronic devices are sensitive and can be easily disturbed by distortion like voltage sag, voltage swell, Interruptions etc. in the electrical power supply. Power quality analysis has been of utmost importance to experts which helps in determining any disturbances in the network and proposes if any fault is present in the system. Through effective power monitoring, system errors can be classified at an earlier stage and thus the safety and reliability can be improved. The presented paper describes a virtual instrument used for monitoring and analysis of the relevant power quality parameters and power measurements. A multifunctional virtual power quality monitoring system is designed and implemented in LabVIEW environment. Data acquisition for data transfers to computer and a software by the Lab VIEW is designed and used for signal analysis. This system detects voltage and current harmonics up to and flicker on voltage detection; diagnosis and records the voltage drop as well as determines the abnormal voltage and current wave form of the harmonics in the power network. waveforms of the three-phase voltage and current signals can be calculated and displayed in the system.Keywords

The review discusses ethnopharmacological, morphological, chemical, pharmacological, clinical, and toxicological and safety aspect of the plant Morinda citrifolia. The ischolar_mains, stems, bark, leaves, flowers and fruits of the plant are parts of many herbal remedies. Particularly, the fruit juice of noni plant is in high demand in alternative medicine for treatment of various illnesses such as hypertension, muscle aches and pains, menstrual difficulties, headaches, heart disease, cancers, gastric ulcers and in healing wounds. While recent studies have shown that this fruit has antibacterial, antioxidant, immunomodulatory properties in-vitro, scientific evidence supporting the nutritional and medicinal values of this plant in humans is still not available. However, both the fruit and damnacanthal, an anthraquinone compound extracted from noni ischolar_mains, are currently being studied in the context of anti-cancer research. If, in the future, the nutritional and medicinal values of the noni can be assessed, especially its anti-cancer activity, this fruit could play a noticeable economic role in countries.Keywords

This research has been undertaken to investigate the seasonal fluctuation of planktons and to examine the healthiness of water by analyzing the diversity and density of planktons in Keerat Sagar pond at Mahoba district. Samples were collected from four sites (A, B, C and D) of pond throughout a year from December 2002 to November 2003. After analyzing, it was concluded that sixteen species of phytoplanktons and seventeen species of zooplanktons, belongs to three and four genera respectively were found sufficiently in Keerat Sagar pond and noticed that maximum and minimum density of planktons were present in summer and winter season. The sufficient availability of phytoplanktons and zooplanktons indicated that pond was healthy and fit for the purpose of fish and prawn culture because both types of planktons are the good bioindicator of aquatic pollution as well as water quality status and occupies the first and second tropic level in aquatic grazing food web.

The success of in vitro fertilization (IVF), mammalian embryo culture and somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT) depend on stringent laboratory conditions and quality of chemicals, plastic ware, and glassware used to culture generated embryos. Therefore, all components and conditions need to be regularly monitored to avoid any kind of contamination and toxicity. Mineral oil (MO), a petroleum product, is extensively used to overlay the embryo cultures to maintain pH and osmolality of the culture medium. In human and farm animals, embryos are cultured with MO for 5 to 7 days to develop fertilized embryos to blastocyst stage1. Commercial suppliers claimed that MO is embryo safe by testing it with mouse embryo culture; however, MO quality can varied by a lot number and may deteriorate by improper storage and transport conditions. In addition, MO is an oil product that makes it susceptible to peroxidation and free radical formation2,3. Therefore, embryologist( s) should be more attentive to avoid MO-based embryo contamination and toxicity.References
